What to expect

Retainer fee

We require half the projected cost of the project as an initial retainer.

If we cannot reach an agreement on a direction to proceed after three static prototypes, we will refund either all but $100 of the retainer fee, or half of the retainer fee if that is a lesser amount, and will maintain full copyright on all work that we created.

After this point in the process, no part of the retainer fee or payment for products or services is refundable.

Prototypes

After an initial discussion of your needs and expectations, we will present you with 1 to 3 static prototypes and then work with you until completion in developing the voice, look and feel desired for your project.

Proposal

At this stage, we will enter into a formal agreement based on a proposal outlining all work to be done on your project.

Communication

We will collaborate with you during crucial steps in the process to ensure your project is shaping up to your needs and expectations.

We will always be happy to share the work we have done and progress made on your project at any point in the process.

You need to provide us with reasonable promptness and alacrity in general communications, the providing of copy-written and page content materials, and access to any resources fundamental to finishing your project.

Deadlines

It is our goal to have your project completed in a prompt and efficient timeframe—which requires your involvement in the process.

A standard web site project should be up and running in less than one month of commencement—contingent on the scope and complexity of the site.

We will, however, deliver your finished project within the agreed on deadline.

Completion

Upon completion and final payment, we will provide you with all files on CD as well as on any other media agreed on. For web projects, we will also upload your site to your web server and make sure it is functioning as intended.

Final payment

The final balance is due within 14 calendar days of the time of completion, at which time we will provide you with all source and proof materials for your project, and upload your site to your server.

Follow up

We will make changes to your site free of charge within the first month after your site has launched. Changes include replacing or adding web copy or photo graphics, which you provide. We will also make changes to navigation, site structure, meta-tag data, and other basic functionality on your site. Certain limits do apply

Web site copyrights

You will retain copyright on all materials you provide, and to the HTML and CSS markup, copywriting, and Flash elements that we develop.

You will also have license to use all javascript and coded functionality, and all finished graphical content (within the limitations of use on specific stock photography) on your project and all future updates to your project, so long as it retains the user interface and visual environment that we designed.

We hold copyright on all javascript and coded functionality, and retain the right to use a copy of your project in whole or part for self-promotion and demonstration purposes, to advance our portfolio and reputation, and to reuse markup and imagery as part of our resource library for increased development efficiency.

Additional fees may be assessed for rush jobs, work solicited outside of the scope of the original proposal, and late payment. Details will be outlined in our agreement.

This page is a guideline for our design process and payment schedule. We will always try to work with your specific needs to find a solution that works for everyone.
